Tatjana Trcek joins Johns Hopkins as an assistant professor in the Department of Biology. Prior to coming to Hopkins, she was a postdoctoral fellow in Ruth Lehmann’s lab at The Skirball Institute of Biomolecular Medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center. Her research aims at understanding how regulation of mRNA stability contributes to establishment and maintenance of Drosophila melanogaster germ line. She holds a PhD in biology from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
